ADSL ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line and is a method for transmitting digital information, at high speed, on existing phone lines. Being asymmetric means the upload and download transmission speeds are substantially different with greater speeds allocated to the download stream. This makes it ideal for internet surfing.
